About this property

Welcome to Campaduno

Nestled in the heart of the Apennine Mountains, Campaduno offers an enchanting escape from the hurried pace of city life. This tranquil mountain village, located in Monzuno within the Metropolitan City of Bologna, Italy, is a sanctuary where nature and simplicity blend seamlessly to create a sanctuary of peace.

Visitors to Campaduno often speak of its timeless charm. The village is a small cluster of lovingly restored rural homes, once farmer’s houses and animal shelters, now serving as quiet retreats infused with history and life. The restoration, guided by the dedication of the long-time resident Mario, revives the essence of rustic mountain living while ensuring comfort and hospitality.

Campaduno’s calm and silence provide a rare gift: the chance to breathe deeply and reconnect. Many guests highlight the warmth and generosity of the local community, whose sincere welcome transforms a simple visit into a memorable experience. Across seasons, the village reveals different facets—cool mountain air perfect for summer, and the gentle hush of nature that restores the spirit all year round.

What stands out most is the natural setting. The village’s isolation means no traffic disturbs the tranquility. Wildlife can be glimpsed crossing the quiet roads at dusk, adding to the magic of the place. For those seeking peace complemented by subtle adventures, the surrounding Apennines offer hiking, exploration, and a pause from daily stress.
